We had such a great testimony from one of our clients: She is a teenager but had many challenges, one of them: an abusive home environment, many nights she ran away from home to the centre or phoned us to please pray for her situation. I remember holding her shivering body and looking into those scared eyes so many times, feeling so helpless. After many interventions and discussions, God had different plans though: she testified that God changed her circumstances around at home in the last six months and she wants to thank God for this: she doesn't have any problems at home anymore. I believe in my heart this happened in SPIRIT at one of the camps we had last year - because she came forth for prayer to change her life around and also to pray for her family that keeps on speaking negative over her and making her out to be "rubbish" that they could see her for how special God created her to be!!! Many times it was said that she didn't want her as her child! Such hard words for a youngster to hear – It is only God that can bring this healing and forgiveness. Jesus really touched her mom’s heart! We are in such great AWE about God's work!!! She said to me: I want to change everything around: my life, my words, my commitment to Christ (she is committing her life fully to the Lord). The most AMAZING thing though is how we could have seen the change in the past few months, even before she spoke a word about it!! You can see the radiant SMILE on her face!!! I praise GOD!!! He IS a Miracle Worker!! Thank you for praying for our clients – it makes a difference!!

One morning in May we had a lovely Mother’s day Tea presented to a group of very special guests to encourage, spoil and strenghten them spiritually. Thank you to Karoolife for the contribution of the delicious coffee, tea and cake. Ingrid of Karoolife presented our ladies with a special word and poem and everyone was spoiled with a lovely gift. A big thank you to everyone who attended – it was definitely an enjoyable event.
Happy Mother’s day to all our supporters, volunteers and clients. May the Lord bless you as the Mothers in our Community.

Joshua Children’s Mission has a vision to make a significant contribution towards providing for the Spiritual,
Physical and Educational needs of the many thousands of abused, neglected, homeless, HIV/Aids infected and affected children in South Africa. They collect gifts (to the value of ±R250) from all over the world and distribute it throughout South Africa to these kids mentioned above. We were very fortunate to be one of many ministries who applied for this project in our area and received 92 boxes. The boxes were distributed on 17 March 2010 to a group of children in the Warmbad (ministered by Cornelle Meiring as a Sunday School) and a group of children in Calitzdorp (ministered by Chantélle Sneygans at the centre & Sunday School). Our program included a message on the greatest gift of all – JESUS CHRIST, handing out the gifts and delicious cake and cooldrink. This was the most joyous moment in our lives!! The expression of gratitude, tears and yell with laughter were overwhelming. A heartfelt thank you to Joshua Children’s Mission for making this special day possible.
